A Message from Our Head Coach
Hello Toro Football Fans,
The Mountain View football program has just completed the 2017 football season! It was a successful season in many ways. There were 166 young men who participated in football last year at three levels varsity, junior varsity, and freshmen. Each team finished the year with a winning record. The varsity ended their season in the state playoffs with a 6-5 record. Both our JV and frosh squads ended the season with a record of 5-4.
The varsity squad graduates 22 outstanding young men. The senior class has an accumulative G.P.A of 3.0. This group of athletes received many individual honors including four 1st team All East Valley Region. More importantly they proudly represented our school, parents, and football program throughout their careers as leaders of tomorrow. We wish them good luck in the future and they will be missed.
The future for Toro football looks bright as we will begin our off season training program. Weight training combined with our football class keeps these young men striving towards our goal of winning a state championship and representing our families and school to the best of our abilities. We return 11 starters from last season and look forward to spring football in April.
Thank you for your continued support of Mountain View football and look forward to seeing you at all Toro high school events!
